Career possibilities

After graduation, graduates in water engineering and management have necessary knowledge and skills in planning, investigation, design and management of water resources structures to serve the socio-economic development of the country. The graduated students have opportunities to work in many organizations such as companies working in water resources engineering fields: consulting, hydraulic construction, water resources works management and exploitation companies or the management organization in water sectors from government levels to local levels, research institutes of water resources. Graduates from the program will deal with the exploitation and management of water resources and to a lesser extent in education and research. The employment of graduates of the Master of Water Engineering and Management is, therefore, both seen at the academic and the professional level. Training at an academic level means that the future lecturers and researchers are trained so that in many countries a multiplication effect can be achieved. The graduated students also can have opportunities to apply for PhD programme abroad in the water resources field via the ITC collaboration.
