The Faculty of Hydrology and Water Resources Engineering (HRE)
was founded in 1964 with the mission to produce high-quality engineers at the undergraduate level, graduate level, and technician level in the field of water and environmental engineering, and rural infrastructure construction to meet the need of societal development and to solve environmental issues. The main vision of the faculty is to develop human resources with internationally recognized engineering qualifications to stipulate sustainable development. It also thrives to improve the research capacity and services dealing with water supply & sanitation, hydraulic structure, ArcGIS-remote sensing, climate change, and society.

VISION
The vision of the faculty is to develop human resources with a potential quality in the fields of Water Resources Engineering, Environmental Engineering, and Rural infrastructure. The faculty will become an outstanding place in training young Cambodian students with high quality and capability with recognition from national and international communities.
MISSION
The faculty of Hydrology and Water Resources Engineering makes an endeavor to offer the best education quality (at Ph.D., MSc, Engineer, and Technician level) in Rural Infrastructures and Water Resources Engineering in Cambodia. The mission of the faculty is also realized by providing professional training (short courses) as well as executing research and development in water resources and related environmental issues for sustainable development. To accomplish this mission, we are committed to improving our education program and enhancing the research capacities and technological know-how as a leading research institution in the field of Rural Infrastructures and Water Resources Engineering.
OBJECTIVE
The aim of the faculty is to offer a Technical and Engineering Education Program with the certain quality, virtue, and high capability so that the students are able to gain knowledge, practical skills and capacity to fill the labour market requirement in rural infrastructures and water resources development sector and participate in research and development.
